Just a little update

It's been quite awhile since I blogged on my own blog......I don't have any pictures for you today though, but will work at that.
It has been a really good month, but also a trying one! I just loved seeing all the grandkids and great grandkids and reading all your blogs......It makes my time more enjoyable, as I have been hiding out in my fort, from my enemy the allergies......not at all fun!. But, I have so many blessing, so I must not complain.
Grandpa Swede's stomach healed up well and is doing good, but now is waiting for a little cancer surgery, which was to be on Wednesday of this week. We don't know what he will do now, as his Cancer Doctor Ellsworth, was killed in the airplane crash. What a sad and upsetting event. Our heart just goes out to those families. I am so glad that I know God's plan and they must have passed their test here on Earth. They were all so very dedicated to helping people!
Anyway, we will try for a new plan for Grandpa's surgery.
Church was so nice yesterday, as the returned missionaries spoke. My gospel doctrine class was wonderful! The class is what makes it that way and the spirit they bring to it. The class is always so great to participate. A few weeks ago Jeep and Nisha and Lary Carter, just made the lesson. Jeep was hillarious! They are always so willing to help whenever ask. And yesterday I was so thrilled, as Dr. Spaulding was able to attend class. He is an amazing man, a great example for enduring. We are so blessed to have both the Livingston and Spaulding families in our ward!
Well, I guess I will stop for this time and get to something else.
Look forward to seeing everyone!
Love you all!

Anyone who wants to play...
This is Fun!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember--it can be funny, weird, awkward, random, etc.!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Grandpa got shot by a rock!

Well, I can't get a picture I took from the camera...something is wrong. I took a picture of Grandpa's belly.
Will just have to tell you about it! Seems everyone in town knows about it and was really concerned.
He has been waiting all month for this old McDonald house to be torn down....the day finally came. Mike's Tires bought it to enlarge his business. He even took this picture days before and had his camera to take pictures as it was coming down. A very large track hoe came in on a big trailer. Grandpa parked and I sat in the car to watch from the far south end of the old Maverick parking lot. There were a lot of people standing around the track hoe, as they were unloading it. The track threw a rock. All of a sudden I saw Grandpa headed back to the car. Holding his belly and blood pouring from his hands. He couldn't stop it~ I grabbed my face masks and some napkins and stuffed the wound and drove him to the hospital in Milford. They told me there, not to loose any time and get him to the Beaver hospital, but not to go so fast that I would wreck.......they gave him lots of thick gauze and told him not to let go of it as it was running like a rippling river.....he is on blood thinners, but they also thought the rock was still in it. It was about the size if a 22 bullet.....went right through his shirt and thank goodness into the fattest part of his belly. They exrayed, and stitched him up with 4 stitches, gave him 2 weeks of antibiotics. I wanted to post a picture of his belly as he seems to enjoy showing everyone his wound and everyone asks to see it! It is really quite gross, but very bruised and colorful! He is more concerned about not getting even one picture of the old house coming down! And so thankful that it didn't hit one of the little kids standing there. It could have killed them. It is the one time he is glad he had a fat roll on his tummy! It could have been worse.
