Grandpa Swede says "Summers Here"

Grandpa Swede's ready for Summer! He has put on his shorts and that's the sign of Summer. He was just ready to walk out the door for his trip to Salt Lake to his Doctor. He made it back in really good time. He left at 9:00 and was back home at 5:00. Haven't heard any results from his Cat Scan, so guess no news is good news!
This is my first post from my camera ......I'm learning! Hooray!

Grandpa Swede at the Milford Airport

Wow! I am just playing around with my blog.....think I have learned to post a picture!

This is a picture taken at the airport where Grandpa Swede works.....he is fueling this plane, which Senator Orrin Hatch flew in on.

I'M BACK!...

Well, I believe I'm back to my old self again!....I went to Stake Conference this morning. It was really good! I really miss when I can't attend church.
Grandpa Swede went to Salt Lake for his cat scan and made it home in good time, without any problems on his way. We don't have the results yet. I took some pictures of him to post on my blog, but now have to have someone help me with putting them on. I'm such a ditz.....my memory is about as long as it takes to blink. I just need to write down the order of doing everything.
We went to DeAnn's on Friday evening for a barbecue with them. Nettie and the boys were there. How cute they are! Jase sang us songs and entertained us and little Jaxon, joined right in with the singing and doing big boy and patty cake! He even gave grandpa Swede a kiss, but only one! He shuddered and made a sound of "no more kisses". His mustache tickled him. He is such a busy happy baby. Jase sang his favorite song with Grandpa Swede, "I went to the Animal Fair", he thought it was pretty cool Grandpa sang it with him. I believe grandpa taught it to all of his grandchildren, and they have passed it on.
Well, I think I will study my lesson for next Sunday. It's time I get back on track.
Until next time.....Love you all!

Dear Journal........

Have been reminded again to get blogging (my DeDe)......I have been slacking! We are finally over the stomach flu, but the allergies are off the chart! (this too shall pass). Well, it is hot here in Milford now, the flowers are beginning to grow, but it is hard to keep them watered with all the wind we have had. I will take some pictures when they are blooming. I have about forgot everything Crystal taught me about blogging, so will have to figure it out.
Grandpa Swede goes to Salt Lake, tomorrow for a cat scan on his lungs. I wanted to go with him and be dropped off in Provo at my allergist, but it would be a long wait for him to come back to pick me up. Allergies are bad up there to and I don't know if I could make it that long in the doctors office. He won't stay over night in a motel, like we use to when we lived in Winnemucca. There is one right by the doctors office. We will have to make an appointment just for my doctor later. Sure could use the treatment now though.
We do have lots of exciting good news! Stacy and her family will be coming to Milford on July 4th and 5th. they live near Seattle & work in Seattle. We have never met her husband, or her youngest little boy Alex. We are excited to see them. Sure wish Danny and his wife, who we haven't met, were coming also.
Leticia, emailed us today and said her and her mom Shanda are coming to visit this summer. They live in Fernley, Nv. It will be really nice! we haven't seen them forever either. If every one was here at the same time we could have a family reunion. We wish we could travel to visit everyone, but our health just won't allow it, or maybe grandpa's work schedule won't allow it!!!!! (my pet pieve), he doesn't need to work every weekend and holiday. We need to get with it or we will be too old. We could at least make a days travel at a time or something. Guess, our destiny is Milford forever. It's fine to be our home, but need to get away from here once in awhile. (depressing).
So much for the complaining......as I watch all the awful stuff on the news throughout the world we are very blessed!
I am really excited! One of my favorite people, Larry Whittaker, my bishop from the 2nd Ward, has been put in the Stake Presidency. He will be so good! I will never forget all the support he gave me during the time of Laney's last years. I got my drinking water from his house by the gallons for years, and he and Adrianne always made me feel welcome. I'm sure it was inconvenient for them at times. I will always be indebted to them. They are both very special !
I am very blessed to have family here in Milford! I don't know what I would ever do without them! I still have that wild blood running through my veins to travel.....I use to just jump in the car and go wherever I was needed, or wanted to go. Guess, I just can't accept the change. I should just remember all the things I did do! or maybe that's what makes me antzy.
Well, the highlight of my day is to read all the blogs and emails from my dear family. They really make me smile! Kerstin, comes to visit daily, she has her drivers license now and seems to be fine. She is very busy with 2 jobs...I enjoy her visits.
When I figure out how to send pictures I will.
Until then............love ya!

Excitement at our house!

I am really behind on my bloggin' The stomach flu hit our house.....I just started to feel just a little better...thinking my hubby had missed it, when he came down with it this morning! It's a bad one! You think you are going to die (funny!) no such luck! you just have to tuff it out. Looked it up on the internet and it said old people (that's us) can take up to 10 days to get over it!....that's good news!
I've lost 7 lbs. don't want to loose anymore. My diet has been water, apples and rice cakes. I am now eating a little bit of steamed potatoes.
Anyway, I haven't been up to [commenting] on all your blogs, but just love them all! They are so exciting! the kids are all so cute!
Will blog again and comment at a later time, when this old body gets a little better.
Love ya all!

Practicing

Well, I am practicing my blogging. Crystal helped me, but I think it is going to take time.....can't teach old dogs new tricks very fast!

I Belong

This is the temple (Salt Lake) where I was endowed...
I was sealed to my parents in the Provo, Temple.

Since you all voted on my poll that I should have been a model, I thought I would humor you. By the way, an interesting fact about myself; I attended and graduated from Modeling School in the year 1986.

My Newest Poem

My newest poem, I will call it:
Blogger
Today is the day before tomorrow...
It's cloudy and windy and allergies are horrible,
But, it's a condition that you can not borrow.
I know this poem is a bit ridiculous!
No rhythm, nor rhyme ... it is somewhat hideous!
Happy I'll be as the day goes forward ...
Crystal and DeAnn are coming to teach the process ...
Of how to be a real blogger and become a success!
Now, DeDe will be happy, she says "Mom get busy"
She is watching for my blog, but it makes her dizzy.
Soon they will teach me and I will proclaim!....
"I'm the greatest blogger and you're all the same"
Now I know this poem is a simple disaster
But, I will blog til' my fingers go faster
THE END

"Bad Girl"

Well, it's Sunday and I feel like "old rotten socks". My sweet daughter DeAnn, gave my lesson today. I haven't been able to handle the paper and ink or concentrate on my lesson this week, (old age ya' think?) Love church, but don't think I could handle the perfume today. My allergies have made me sick with asthma....or maybe I have made myself sick. I worked in the yard alot this week (my place next to heaven). It was a mess and the flowers I bought were going to die. Maybe, my allergies will be better with in a week or two. It doesn't seem to matter if I am in the house or outside. In fact with my mask on, I believe I have been some better outside. If I ever figure it out, I will become an allergist!... It does depress me though. I'm not a patient person when it comes to being held down by all this nonsense of allergy. I'm a doer. Oh well! I have watched KBYU on T.V. and they have church, but can't partake of the sacrament! It is very rare if I miss and sometimes even go to DeAnn's ward (my old ward) some Sunday's when mine is over. It is the place that makes me feel so good and just makes my whole week better!
I might have to give up teaching.....but still go to my meetings! yet I love to teach!
Well, my pity party must end! and get onto something else, but don't know what. (boring......!)
My blogging is a blessing! and to get to read all of yours!
Til' next time....... which will be more postive.
Love ya all!
