HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!

I need to get busy with the camera...I don't have many pictures of Jeff....the one is with his 4 little girls when they were little: Dayna, Sara, Stephanie and Kerstin. The next one is more recent of Jeff and Kerstin.
My goodness! here it is... another New Year!....where did 2008 go??? Today, (new years eve) our son, Jeff and I are going shopping in Cedar!..oh!oh! hope I don't do to much damage to our finances!...well, tomorrow I will start the New Year off right, with the new resolution to not spend so much money!
I wish everyone a wonderful New Year full of much love, and may it be full of positive things...health and happiness! And Happy Birthday! goes out to our Rachel, she was a New Year Baby! Love ya' Rach!
Get out the old pots and pans and spoons to bang on and all the noisy things you can think of at midnight, to bring in the New Year Right!...well I just hope I can stay awake. I know Grandpa Swede will be long asleep before then!
Again, " HAVE A WONDERFUL 2009!"
LOVE YA' ALL!!!

Christmas!

For awhile I wondered if I would even get decorated for Christmas. I am posting a picture of a table I decorated just in case I didn't get a tree done. I had stuff in every little space waiting to decide where to put it. Even under the table.
Christmas was really nice...we got to see lots of our grandchildren and great-grand children. Christmas Eve Debbie and Craig came over to our house, Our daughter DeAnn, grandaughter, Crystal, Nick and little Kendra (from Colorado came to visit.....we just had snack foods this year and I made homemade candy. Time was very limited! Rachel and David and their little boys Lance and Luke came from Rexburg, Idaho. Kerstin and Jeff came over for awhile. Dustin and Lynette and boys, Jase and Jaxon came from Cedar to visit last night! The Holm family had a party and we, Grandma and Grandpa Johnson, were invited. We missed Russ Jr. and his cute little family. They left for Cedar before we got to see them. The weather was so terrible and road closed, so Brian, Melissa and their little girls couldn't get here for the party from over by Price. The little children really make Christmas, they are so adorable!
We got a new great-granddaughter a couple of days before Christmas! Jeff's daughter Dayna had a little baby girl....Jesse and Dayna now have 2 precious little girls. Dayna had to have her 2nd Cesarean and had to go back to the hospital with complications for 3 days. She is back home today and doing better. The baby is doing great! I will have to post a picture of her when I get one. She is really cute and I know her big sister, Jeslyn, is thrilled to have a baby sister!
We also, found out on the 22nd that Kerstin's baby is going to be a little girl. We are really excited...it should arrive on about May 13th. Our family is growing in leaps and bounds.
Well, now we will get back to the everyday life. Tomorrow will be my last day in my ward and I will go to the 3rd ward on the first Sun. of January.
I loved teaching Gospel Doctrine....I'm wondering if I will get another calling and what it will be?
We will get back to getting settled in our new home next week....we still have stuff to move. We did get all of our furniture on Christmas Eve morning. So we feel like we aren't just camped out now!

LINDSEY CAME TO VISIT

It is time I finally got to catching up on my blogging. Lindsey, our precious grandaughter came to visit us last weekend. It was so nice to see her, as she has only been here one other time since he daddy passed away. I am sure it was very hard on her, as she misses him so much and he isn't here when she comes to visit now. She is such a beautiful girl!...just seems like yesterday she was little and now she is all grown up. She is already 19 years old. We really miss seeing her often. I am posting some pictures of her. We thought she was going to be really short like her mom, but she has grown as tall as her Grandma Ann., (love it!) She has the best of both her mom and her daddy. Some of the pictures are taken by our Christmas Tree, which was the fastest decorating time in my life! Amazing, because I usually decorate for a couple of weeks.

R is for....
Top Ten - Letter R time!!!! I thought that this might be fun to play. All you have to do is make a list of ten of your favorite things. But there is a little catch. Everything on the list has to start with a specific letter of the Alphabet. That letter is randomly assigned by the blogger who you are playing with! I was assigned the letter R by Rachel, MY GRANDAUGHTER.
1. Rachel is my precious Grandaughter. She is so beautiful, thoughtful, sweet, and loving.
2. Remember! I remember all the wonderful things in my life. My daughter and son who have passed to the otherside so young. The fun we had and all my precious babies when they were born, how cute they were and how much I loved them! My beautiful grandchildren and the love I have for my husband.
3. Reliable....a very important trait in someone. One that I am very obsessed with.
4. Reach out whole heartedly!...nothing is impossible if you put forth the effort.
5. Resurrection...I know that if we walk in obedience to Gods commandments, we will be resurrected and have eternal exaltation.
6. Redhead....got two of the cutest little redheaded great grandchildren!...have been waiting forever for them!
7. Russell.....a very special son- in- law and a precious grandson by this name. Oh and a nephew also.
8. Roses...my favorite flower is the pink Rose.
9. Refridgerator.....just got a new one for my new House.
10. Rudolf..Santa's Reindeer, with the red nose!
Hey! that was easy. I could go on forever...R. is an easy one.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE....HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY AND REMEMBER IT IS ALL ABOUT OUR SAVIOR, OUR REDEEMER!

TIS' THE SEASON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIGHT?

Well, everyone I don't have any pictures to put on my blog right now, but just an update... Our house will close on Tuesday or Wednesday. Exciting!!! Have so much to do and it is holiday time! Oh my gosh! on the otherside of things, I came down with a bad bug.....fever, sinus, sore throat, nose running buckets and now the fever blisters, haven't been able to get much sleep until last night.... Anyway I have the new house totally spotless, have been working at moving the small stuff, until last night. We got a few bigger things moved, but then disaster! my little hutch, which I got from Crystal, fell off the truck and shattered to smitherines (not spelled right), but you get the idea. Now, I have all my pretty decorations I put in and on it and I am totally lost at how to decorate my new house!....will take any ideas I can get! My fevers gone, my house here is a disaster, no Christmas decorations up yet! (I have decorated my childrens graves at the cemetery though). I still don't know what ward I am going to be in....it is being looked into by my Bishop. I have been told I will have to change wards.....I don't know whether to prepare my Gospel Doctrine Lesson's. Actually there isn't time! but I love my calling! I sluffed church this morning (bad girl). I look a sight with the swollen blistery nose. My week will never be the same. It never is when I don't go to church.....I love it and it just starts my whole week off right! and I'm getting old and slower, darn it!
Now, to the bright side of things and many great blessings! my family are all the best! Jeff, put in the in-line, reverse osmoses water filter yesterday and also the water filters on the showers, so I won't be allergic to the clorine, and fixed a ceiling fan. Debbie, Craig, Kyle and Austin moved a couple of trucks full of stuff to the new house. DeAnn, Russell and their family are all so supportive too, and they will help us as they always do! It is such a busy time of year for everyone! Yes, this will all get done sooner than later (can't wait for sooner) and I am so blessed and thankful for my friends and family. Everyone is always so great! My hubby is working at the airport, so I can have more money to spend in our new house! He teases me, but is so thoughtful and never complains. He is really excited too!
Well anyway, everyone have a great holiday season, full of the love of everyone and remember especially our love for our Savior Jesus Christ, and His Love for us.
Next, blogg I will be able to blog pictures of my new house and maybe my Christmas Tree.....I am sure I won't be stressed and the big swollen nose will be better, and Annie can be her old self again....only an even happier one! My Crystal will help me put on a new background for my blog....I haven't ask her yet! I can't make one work. She also, did some shopping for me in Cedar.
Love all you guys so much and thankful for the "great gospel of love" in my life! Thankful for trials and all that we learn from them, and that they make us stronger. I am truly thankful for all the good times and the blessings, which out measure the hard things, although it makes us wonder a little at times, (the norm!)
I KNOW THIS WILL BE A GREAT CHRISTmas!
I love each of you so much! I love my Savior and I love CHRISTmas! ( but I also, don't love to wait on slow old granny!)
No, "Granny won't get run over by a Reindeer!"
Keep blogging everyone! I look forward to them! Remember the stress of Christmas is what makes it exciting! (and rememberable!) Wow! I think I will have some great memories! hope so!

Crazy Lady!

That's right I think I am going crazy and my patience, which I am noted for, is proving not to be very good right now!
We are suppose to be buying a Town House. They say it will probably close the first week of December, and that everything is good and in order. We were qualified for it. But, I keep worrying....With our country in the financial mess it's in...."Will we get the loan? I always have my Christmas Tree up by now! and I don't even know where I will put it yet! Yep! I am running in circles, cleaning one corner and then another. Trying to get ready for Christmas. Measuring....cleaning, tossing out stuff and I can't even see a dent yet? Well, this picture looks like me and if I could eat Chocolate....I would eat all I could get my hands on! What is that? "HAVE FAITH", but what about PATIENCE? I will update you later, if I am sane ok?
Have a great Thanksgiving everyone!
Love ya!

Just thinking!... what I do best!

As I read my grandaughter's blog this morning.....it really made me wakeup and do some thinking! She is so precious! and I am so blessed to have such a great family and friends! I am so blessed to have so many wonderful people in my life to help me on my path. I am so blessed that they all share with me the great knowledge that I need, because I am soooooooo far from perfect!

As I read her blog, the thought came to me....."Cleanliness is next to Godliness".... One of my challenges I deal with on a daily bases is my house. My thought: CLEAN OF WHAT? a spec of dust!....."No, clean of sin", to be loving, take time for others, be forgiving, set a good example and serve our Heavenly Father, and keep his commandments, and then the Savior will help me take over the task of making my own house, a home on earth. "And hopefully help me get over the "too dusty thing!" Only the house of the Lord needs to be in perfect order and we need to keep it clean, for us to live with him someday! Well, I probably sound a bit off today, but I really need to be reminded of the most important things in life. I know I can't do them alone.

We had a wonderful visit night before last.....Jace and Amy Lambeth, and their beautiful little children stopped by to visit with us! Such timing.....we really needed their sweet spirits with us that evening, because we had barely got the word that my husbands brother, Carroll, had passed away, minutes before they arrived.
Well, me being such a baby lover!....got to hold baby Ellis, for about a minute when Swede retrieved him and so much for me! The "big kid", my husband, and baby Ellis really bonded. Ellis just laughed for him and it put the sparkle back in my husbands eyes! He is just the cutest little "round mound of sound!" just adorable. I got to hold him for about 2 seconds after that. But, my time was wonderful with their beautiful little girl, Kylie. She is just a deliteful little princess! I think she liked me and I just loved her! she played with the train and books and then Grandpa Swede's, turtles, which he collects. She is just beautiful and so smart. The visit was short. Jace had to be at work, but he and Amy are just such an amazing couple.....can't wait until we can visit for a longer time! They shared lots of really interesting things with us! and I am so thankful for them and want them to know how much we love them, and look so forward to visiting again and playing with those precious babies. They gave us a greeting card with the picture of their beautiful family on it! It is really special!
Next, we are most likely going to be moving in 2 or 3 weeks to a new residence. But, we are going to live in our same ward. I am so glad! Change is always so hard, even though I love all the people in all the wards and I also love my calling. The moving part is going to be the hardest challenge as we just aren't as young and strong as we use to be. Darn it! so that part is really worrying us...Not to say we keep acquiring more, no matter how much we get rid of. Will post our new physical address if we move later.

We hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving full of much love and joy!

Until next time!
We Love Ya!

More pictures of my special day!

Best Birthday Ever!

Other than I am a year older I had such a special Birthday! It began with a trip to the St. George Temple. My daughter, DeAnn and Grandaughter Lynette, took me there. This was the first time we have gone to the temple together as family and was my greatest desire for my 71st birthday. But it turned out to be so much more! Thanks to Grandpa Holm, he tended Lynette and Dustin's little guys all day until Dustin got home from work.
It was such a wonderful day at the temple! I just know it is the closest place to Heaven! The day was so warm, the grass so green and the flowers still in bloom. We went to the visitors center after the session. It is always so special, no matter how many times you might have visited it.
The day followed with a shopping spree to Tai-Pan.....and I do mean shopping! Love that store and it was the first time I had been there!
My sweet husband bought me new tires for my car and did a repair on it......I had so many nice phone calls and visits from my family and lovely gifts! Family is the best! and I love each and everyone of them so much! Presents are always great, but the gift of time and their love is more precious than anything else.
I'm posting pictures of our three generations...myself, DeAnn, and my granddaughter, Lynette.
We got home and all was well on our home fronts..... I played with Jase and Jaxon for a little while, basket ball, and applying tattoo's like Grandpa Swede's, on Jase, except they were of Pumpkins and Ghosts and they do wash off.
I am sure Grandpa Holm was pretty tired, as he had worked all the night before. He had taken the boys on a bike ride and he and Daddy Dustin, had taken them out to eat and play.
My hubby Swede, was already in bed when we arrived home....as always he left the lights burning for me when I got home, but was sound asleep as usual. I'm so glad he is so thoughtful and good natured. Yep! I am a very blessed person and have so much to be thankful for. Especially for such loving family and friends!

OK, here's some "Oldies"

Just for fun! I found some pictures of Swede and I. He was 17 and I was 15 years old. Not taken at the same time. When he was 17, I was 13. Wow! what a long time ago that was!
By the way, now you all know my secret..."I never have been a true blonde! This was my natural hair color. What becoming a beautician will do for ya!..
Do blondes have more fun?...
probably not, but you can see them better in the dark!

Three Generations

I'm posting a special picture! taken from the wedding. This is three generations.....my brother, Ken Lambeth, his son Jace and grandson "Baby Ellis" (named after his great-grandpa Lambeth). All very handsome I would say!
I was reading my grandaughters blog and I was clicking around on it...upon it came a list with the "Lambeths" on it! Guess, my detective instinct came in handy... It was really exciting when Jace's wife Amy's blogg came up. I got to see their beautiful little girl and baby Ellis, who has grown so much since this picture was taken. He is a little hunk now, so chubby and adorable! And I want to say that Amy is so special also...(we're both originally Beaverites!)
Anyway, now we can get to know oneanother better! FAMILIES ARE THE BEST! I have been very blessed to get to know them all in this life! Just wish I had known them sooner.

Having Halloween Fun!

Halloween Trick and Treat!

Halloween started out with a "TRICK"! Grandpa Swede was in terrible pain and early Halloween morning we had to head to Beaver Hospital to emergency, to find out he had a severe case of the Shingles....that was a dirty trick I would say! He is still very sick as his arthritis has kicked in and now he is walking on his walker (poor guy) nothing seems to help the pain.
On to Halloween night....It is always fun to see all the little ones having a really fun time! And the big ones too! Kerstin, came by for a recipe and was going to make Pumpkin Pie and Caramel Corn. She visited with us for awhile.
Little Kaylee and her parents came by, she was dressed like a little witch, but was a bit bashful.
We was surprised when Lynette, Dustin, and boys showed up from Cedar. A nice surprise! They were all dressed up so cute in their costumes...I will let DeAnn and Lynette post pictures of them!
Dayna and Sara, then brought their little ones by all dressed up so cute in their costumes!...they were having a ball!
It is so fun to see family, when they show up and especially to see them celebrating! This has always been a fun time in our lives!
I will post some pictures....anyway we had over 50 trick or treaters. By the way do you see any resemblances in the above picture?

6 Quirks

Here's how this works..List 6 quirks about you..Tag 6 people..Tell who tagged you.

Rachel tagged me.
1. It drives me crazy when people leave cupboard doors or closet doors open.
2. It is very annoying when the bathtube (shower) isn't rinsed down after each use.
3. Oh yes! I have a place for everything and can't stand things just laying around and messy! (unless it is me that does it, and thats ok, because I'm the one who has to pick everything up anyone, right?)
4. Really clean dishes! If they aren't it makes me gaggy!
5. Clothes put away clean and pressed and in neat order and shoes clean. I know I am a bit overboard, but what else has an old lady have to do? If I could go dancing I wouldn't care?
6. Bad language! or contention! It makes me really nervous and I just want to run away and hide! I can think of lots of other things, but they just don't matter!

Okay! if you read this you are tagged!

Appendage to my previous blogs!

OPPS! I made a mistake on Brylen's name! Also, we had a fun time at DeAnn and Russells on Sunday evening.......She helped make the good food too! And also, Debbie brought food! Thanks to my girls for all the help! And thanks to my son Jeff, for updating my computer and helping me on it! I love you all so much! And it is wonderful to feel the love of everyone with togetherness! It is the greatest thing in the world to feel this! JUST THE LOVE FOR ONEANOTHER!

I will let DeAnn post on her blog on the fun time we had at her house. She took lots of pictures too.

Sara and Elias visiting with us too!

Our Grandaughter,Sara, and Elias DeLane, came to visit with Shanda and her family and all of us! It was great! We loved seeing them! Elias loved playing with the train and wanted to take cake home to his big brother Isaiah, who was taking a nap, and some more for himself!.....they are such cute boys and we are glad to have them living back in Milford.
I have more pictures with Kenny and Shanda, but I took them with the 35 mm. Which I will need to get developed....I wasn't thinking! Maybe DeAnn has some on her digital camera. Anyway, I hope I haven't left anything out because it was all a wonderful weekend. Now, lets just get another new great- grandbaby Melissa, Brian and little Neeley! Just Can't wait! And by the way today is Jeslyn's Birthday also, and we are going to her party! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO SHANDA, AND JESLYN, AND HOPEFULLY BABY BYRLEN!

And time goes on!

Russell and DeAnn spend lots of time with us. Also, Kerstin and Tyson......And then Sara and little Elias. It was such a wonderful weekend.

Sunday morning Leticia, Bianca, and Elina showed up to go to church with me! They loved it!

Then here came Debbie and Craig to Sacrament Meeting and to Gospel Doctrine class, where I gave the lesson on that day!

After my class I looked for the girls .....they were not waiting in the hall, so I preceded to look for them, as we were not going to stay for 3rd block. Well......to my happy surprise they loved it so much with the Young Woman, that when I looked into the classroom....sure enough they wanted to stay until church was over. So I went to Relief Society. I felt such a happy emotion to have more of my family join me in The Gospel of Jesus Christ, which I know is where we belong! I know it provides us with the plan of happiness......and the way families can be together forever. I look forward to the happiness of having them join again with me soon! You will never know the happiness I felt that day.

We came home from church and all joined for dinner of just Hoggies and lots of goodies. Elina helped me make a cake for her mommy, Shanda. We celebrated her birthday a little early. Which is the 14th.

I will post more pictures.

Fun family time!

Kerstin and Aunt DeAnn arrived to give us a hand at their expertise! What a good time! And more fun visiting!
Then Jeff, showed up and Debbie and Craig and we all enjoyed our time together with lots of food!

Great Weekend with Family!

SCRAP BOOKING!
What a great weekend! Shanda, Kenny and the girls...Leticia, Bianca and Elina came for a visit. We hadn't seen them for such a long time!
Grandma Ann made a folder for each of them and we scrapbooked for hours....it was so fun! as we visited!

Grandpa Swede at the Milford Airport

This is a very large airplane.... a Twin Engine Otter... it landed at the Milford airport where Grandpa Swede, fueled it up with 360 gallons of jet fuel! It is from Alberta Canada and on it's way to the South Pole. It belongs to the British Government and is a Antartic Explorer Survey Plane. Notice the ski's on it, which can assist the landing on ice and snow. This occurs each year!
Notice Grandpa standing by it in the first picture......airplanes and the airport is his life most of the time!

4th Picture Tag

Here's how the game works: post the 4th picture from the 4th folder in your pictures. Way easy.

Love your Blogs and Pictures!

I just tried to put some pictures on my blog of Grandpa and a big airplane. I can't make my camera download. (Stupid Me). Just don't know what I am doing wrong. Will do that at a later blog.
Anyway, I loved reading all the new blogs today, and looking at all the precious pictures.....hope Lissi, gets that new baby soon! I'm excited! Dayna is going to have a new baby in January and Kerstin in May, so we are getting a lot of greats! It is exciting! there is nothing more precious, or that brings more love into this world.
DeDe hasn't blogged for awhile either. I'm watching for one! Decided I couldn't complain if I didn't either.
Don't I have just the cutest grandchildren? I need to get pictures from all the others too, on my camera, so I can post them too. I just talked to Jeslyn the other day! What a doll! She goes to Kindergarten already...they grow up so fast!
Crystal, is so good at photography! her pictures are beautiful!
Shanda and her family will be coming on Saturday and staying until Monday....will be so glad to see them all. It has been a long time and we have really missed them. Have been getting stuff together for the girls to scrapbook....I have lots of pictures of them and thought they might like to do this so they don't get bored.
Well, better get working on my lesson for Sunday! Until next time......
Love all your blogs!

"Oldie but Goldie" Twins"

Ok! every one seems to blog in 3's so here goes.......I don't have another recent picture of my hubby, so I am going to post an "oldie". I mean a really "oldie". This is probably one of the only vacations we ever took together alone, in our married life. Actually, we haven't taken many vacations in our 53 years together. We planned them, but something always came up more important within our family. We went to Encinada, Mexico. Had a blast and bought all kinds of good stuff to bring back at a great price. We are sure all of our kids had fun while we were gone!
And by the way we use to dress alike alot! This was in the year 1973....(long time ago). Great Memory!

On My way to Church! and on my way to somewhere?

Sunday...my favorite day of the week! .....I'm on my way out my door to church. I'm teaching on this day! but, think I learn more than I teach! It takes alot of time to prepare my lesson......It's kinda' scary, but I love it!

My Competiton!

My hubby loves the airport and the airplanes, which is my biggest competition. This one is quite unusual! Just can't imagine why he really likes this one! Can you? ....the lady on it is very pretty!

Nils I miss you!

I have been thinking about Nils, alot lately, and how much I miss him! He use to come for lunch on school days, and since then the "Mississippi Mud" icecream Sandwiches don't get eaten, or the white cheese. I miss my grandkids coming for lunch and visiting with them.
Isn't Nils handsome! I don't see his pictures much on the blogs....he just loves his little nieces and nephews! I can't download the pictures on my camera, to my computer, for some reason.....it just wants to scan from my scanner. So, I thought I would post one I already have on my computer. I've found part of my mind, but not this part yet, but I will keep looking and maybe I can find the problem..
This is such a cute picture of little Neeley and her Uncle Nilsy.
Shanda and her family are going to try to come visit 2 weeks from this Friday. Hope they can make it. We haven't seen them for a long time.
Wish Lindsey could come with them....I mentioned it to her.

I'm a copy cat!

Oh my goodness! I just noticed I picked out the same background as Melissa! Dede was helping me and we couldn't bring some others up. Later I got this one to work by myself....oh well, Melissa, guess we have the same idea and we will probably both change it in a few days. It is nice for the season.
Love,
Gram

In Memory

Just can't forget Sept. 22, and our baby boy who left us three years ago on this day. We really miss him! but just look at this great picture! His football # was 22 and he left at 11:22 on that day!
BUT... TO THE HAPPY AND POSITIVE SIDE.......THIS IS HIS BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY BODY~ HE IS HAPPY AND OUT OF PAIN. THIS IS THE only WAY WE WANT TO REMEMBER HIM NOW!
We are going to the cemetery and re-decorate his and Laurie's resting place today for fall.
He was such a blessing in all of our lives and taught our family some of the greatest lessons any of us could receive. He is with his sister, our Laurie and her son, our grandson, so they are not alone. I'm sure he is teaching our Casey on the otherside.
I am so happy I know the plan for sure and we can be together again....I am doing the very best I can to make this happen!
WE LOVE YOU LANEY!

What???

What???? I don't know what to say!...can you imagine that from me! Granny who never shuts up?
Actually, I believe I have lost my mind and I can't find it. Or it is so over flowing with information it is stuck. I know there must be lots to say, but can't begin.
I lost my paper with information I wrote down of instructions and need to find them! so I can change my blog. (forgot how to do that too!) and pictures. I can still type though!
Well, one thing I can tell you... we are so relieved with the news that Grandpa Swede's cancer is gone. He doesn't have to have treatment at this time. They will keep a close watch on it, so if it comes back. What a blessing!
My family and friends are great blessings and I love you all very much!
For now...I'm going searching....I forgot what for, but I am going!
Til' then I love you!

Just a little update

It's been quite awhile since I blogged on my own blog......I don't have any pictures for you today though, but will work at that.
It has been a really good month, but also a trying one! I just loved seeing all the grandkids and great grandkids and reading all your blogs......It makes my time more enjoyable, as I have been hiding out in my fort, from my enemy the allergies......not at all fun!. But, I have so many blessing, so I must not complain.
Grandpa Swede's stomach healed up well and is doing good, but now is waiting for a little cancer surgery, which was to be on Wednesday of this week. We don't know what he will do now, as his Cancer Doctor Ellsworth, was killed in the airplane crash. What a sad and upsetting event. Our heart just goes out to those families. I am so glad that I know God's plan and they must have passed their test here on Earth. They were all so very dedicated to helping people!
Anyway, we will try for a new plan for Grandpa's surgery.
Church was so nice yesterday, as the returned missionaries spoke. My gospel doctrine class was wonderful! The class is what makes it that way and the spirit they bring to it. The class is always so great to participate. A few weeks ago Jeep and Nisha and Lary Carter, just made the lesson. Jeep was hillarious! They are always so willing to help whenever ask. And yesterday I was so thrilled, as Dr. Spaulding was able to attend class. He is an amazing man, a great example for enduring. We are so blessed to have both the Livingston and Spaulding families in our ward!
Well, I guess I will stop for this time and get to something else.
Look forward to seeing everyone!
Love you all!

Anyone who wants to play...
This is Fun!
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember--it can be funny, weird, awkward, random, etc.!
2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Grandpa got shot by a rock!

Well, I can't get a picture I took from the camera...something is wrong. I took a picture of Grandpa's belly.
Will just have to tell you about it! Seems everyone in town knows about it and was really concerned.
He has been waiting all month for this old McDonald house to be torn down....the day finally came. Mike's Tires bought it to enlarge his business. He even took this picture days before and had his camera to take pictures as it was coming down. A very large track hoe came in on a big trailer. Grandpa parked and I sat in the car to watch from the far south end of the old Maverick parking lot. There were a lot of people standing around the track hoe, as they were unloading it. The track threw a rock. All of a sudden I saw Grandpa headed back to the car. Holding his belly and blood pouring from his hands. He couldn't stop it~ I grabbed my face masks and some napkins and stuffed the wound and drove him to the hospital in Milford. They told me there, not to loose any time and get him to the Beaver hospital, but not to go so fast that I would wreck.......they gave him lots of thick gauze and told him not to let go of it as it was running like a rippling river.....he is on blood thinners, but they also thought the rock was still in it. It was about the size if a 22 bullet.....went right through his shirt and thank goodness into the fattest part of his belly. They exrayed, and stitched him up with 4 stitches, gave him 2 weeks of antibiotics. I wanted to post a picture of his belly as he seems to enjoy showing everyone his wound and everyone asks to see it! It is really quite gross, but very bruised and colorful! He is more concerned about not getting even one picture of the old house coming down! And so thankful that it didn't hit one of the little kids standing there. It could have killed them. It is the one time he is glad he had a fat roll on his tummy! It could have been worse.

"More Memories"

"Thought I would post another picture of Russell and DeAnn's wedding! We are all much younger then, but fun to remember back! This one has our Jeff and Laney in it too! Great memories! We need to try to live everyday so that we can have those wonderful memories. To see them in picture is even more fun! When you get old as the hills like me and Gramp, they are the things that mean so much to you! KEEP CREATING MEMORIES!.... IT'S IMPORTANT!!!

Love this Picture!

As I was going through the pictures downloaded on my computer I came to this one. I love it!... to see my girls together when DeDe got married. Laurie was her maid of honor. I have the most beautiful girls! Debbie couldn't attend. She lived in California. We really miss Laurie. We haven't seen her for 26 years. We do have another little Laurie though. Emma is named after her...(Emma Laurie)and she has that same bubbly personality and is a real go-getter like Laurie! She is a cutie!
Thought Shanda's girls might like to see their Grandma Laurie.

Grandpa Swede and the girls!

Thought you might like to see this picture taken at DeAnn's. It was awhile ago.....little Emma has grown up to much!
DeAnn's now a blonde and Debbie is a brunette.....And grandpa stays the same and gram just has more wrinkles! (they call those wrinkles "wisdom") I'm not so sure about that!

Swede and Brother Orlyn on their Ship

Can you imagine these two "Hell Raisers" on the same Ship? That's exactly what they did until Orlyn got transferred.
They are splicing a mooring line....which ties the ship to the dock.

Picture of my Honey!

The good looking Sailor I feel in love with!
